BioCase
Our annual Biotech case competition
BioCase is a two-day technical case competition where groups of 2-4 students work together to design a biotechnology or bioengineering solution to a specific problem in one of three domains: biomedical devices, energy, or sustainability.
Solutions are judged by professors or industry professionals, giving students an opportunity to connect with experts in the field. The event combines elements of traditional design challenges and case competitions, allowing students to present their technical designs using CAD software and other formats.
Teams are mentored and supported by workshops during the two days. Food, merchandise, and prizes are part of the event.
The first BioCase was sponsored by the McGill Engineering Student Center (MESC) through a fund from the Faculty of Engineering.
