Questions, answered.
Who can join McGill BioDesign?
Any McGill student, any major, any year. Most of our members come from engineering, bio, and computer science, but we have writers, designers, and business students too.
What is the time commitment?
Roughly 4 to 6 hours per week during the semester, more during competition prep. We track attendance to project meetings and events.
Are there prerequisite courses?
No required courses. We provide onboarding for everything from wet-lab basics to CAD. Bring curiosity.
What is BioCase?
BioCase is our annual biotechnology case competition. Student teams solve a real-world bio problem over a weekend and present to industry judges.
